I'm pretty sure it can happen from masturbating too much but demi's article explains the real cause.  Apparently, it is highly recommended that you get an ultrasound.

Don't fuck around with this, hurry up and get to a urologist.  If all they do is an ultrasound, it's absolutely painless so you have nothing to be nervous about.
