How much more are early iPhone adopters going to get screwed up the ass? This shit WILL NOT STAND. Every single thing wrong with the first has been changed:

Price? Lowered.
3G and GPS? Added.
Headphone jack? Flush.

Less than one year after the first was released, I mean what the fuck, man? I have never, ever, been fucked over so badly by any company, and because of this pile of bullshit that landed in my lap, I'm never going to buy an Apple product again. And it sucks for Apple, because I was going to switch from PC this summer. Fuck Apple and its stupid ass, this is the most absurd shit that has ever happened to me.

It makes me think, what the hell did I pay 600 dollars for? A phone I've had to return and replace FIVE, COUNT IT, ONE TWO THREE FOUR FIVE TIMES because of hardware defect? A phone that actually makes interfacing more difficult in many aspects? I as well as every other early iPhone adopter paid a premium for absolutely nothing at all, and now I'm stuck with a phone that's less than a year old and succeeded three times over for a sixth of the price I was stuck with.

And don't even fucking bring up the 100 dollar rebate early adopters got. It was Apple Store credit, and consider how few people stupid enough to bite so early in what was so obviously only a test-the-waters product, Steve Jobs didn't lose any sleep over it.

Just like the last thread I so unwisely created, this one probably isn't going to yield any responses in my favor because people either hate me, love Apple, or some middle ground, but I posted this thread because I really can't deal with how fucking angry I am over this. If it wasn't 200 dollars, I wouldn't have given a shit. If they pumped it out at 500 bucks just the same, I wouldn't have batted an eye, but TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR A PHONE THAT'S BETTER IN EVERY WAY, I mean what the fuck?

Everyone knows Apple constantly "updates" their hardware, yet distinguished mentally-challenged fellows flock out to buy their products on day one every year. They sold a $600 phone because they knew people like you would not only buy it, but buy the subsequent versions as well.

I know about tech, you distinguished mentally-challenged fellows. I read the fucking specs, I know what they meant, I put my hands on the phone and played with every feature on the display unit before I had bought it. The iPhone, at the time, was great, but had I known they'd replace it so soon, so much cheaper, and fix not just one or two things, but EVERYTHING, I would've kicked myself into next year. But I didn't know. All I knew was that I was picky as hell with phones, and the iPhone was the closest any phone ever came to the perfect phone for me, and now I'm fucked over for thinking that.

The only thing I dislike about the new iPhone is the back looks like it's gonna be injected glossy plastic, which means fingerprints, which means

there's nothing out-of-date about the iphone hardware -- in fact, it's a pretty impressive piece of tech all around. 630 mhz cpu (downclocked to 412), power vr derived gpu w/32 MB frame buffer, 128 mb ram -- it spanks the psp and just about any other phone out there for computing horsepower performance.

I'm not rich, I spent half of all the money I earned over my summer job last year to buy the iPhone, the other half was for a PS3. I don't consider myself in the legion of early adopters because in all honesty I hate Apple, I always have, and always will. I just dislike that they try and sell a lifestyle with their computing products, and it simply does not make sense to me.

Unfortunately the mass of people I had told of this purchase failed to explain to me that Apple's first revision hardware is always a testing-the-waters product, and I suppose I got fucked over being so positive about the iPhone from my initial usage of the phone. It did strike me as interesting though, now, that while I was at work there was a man that came in who had an Apple logo t-shirt and one on his car as well, and I had asked him if he'd get the iPhone, and he said...

But I can look at threads on GAF when the iPhone was revealed and tell you of it's REALLY SLOW internet browsing if it's not on wifi.  People knew the 3G was coming, everything else you might have a legit beef (although every apple product has subtle design changes over time.)

What people absolutely didn't know was that the 3G revision would be 1/3rd the cost.  That's a little absurd, but great news for everyone else.

I've actually never seen an 'affordable' Apple product like this new iPhone, although with it's data plan and compared to $100 smart phones, it's still not all that affordable.  Thankfully you aren't paying for a phone AND ipod which is what people who paid for the original iphone had to do.  That's ultimately where the 'cost cutting' comes into effect.

The iPhone was horribly overpriced to begin with, that's all it amounts to.

I bought the PS3 when it was 500, and it was worth every penny. Sort of feel like an idiot for selling it, now, because my new 360 has been giving me problem after problem, and ironically, I played my PS3 more than my 360.
