The difference is that Ron Paul has a very consistent voting record in the house. Anyone here could predict what he would vote for on any given issue.

I wouldn't use the dems' unwillingness to impeach Bush as a sign of weakness. If I was a senator and we had a super majority I wouldn't impeach him. He deserves it, but I don't see the benefit of ousting him right now.

Instead they should just make sure he doesn't walk us into another stupid war

I totally nominate Al Gore for this position!

He's already gotten under the skin of the right people, and no matter what they try throwing at him he just keeps winning awards and being infuriatingly content with his life.  Since he's not going to run for office again, they'll never get to gloat over his defeat and we'll never worry about him reverting to the 1988 DLC iteration of himself.

Whereas Kooch can be dismissed as an angry and constantly thwarted little man, Gore is now a central figure in a major conspiracy theory and can't be brought down.
