I don't get the logic here.  Let's say you DO have some of the items listed on the inspection paper in your car, and the cop sees them.

You now have a list of items for thieves to steal in plain sight on your car.  Good job, police!

If the items are in plain sight, thieves wouldn't need to refer to the list.  It's not like the thieves would need the help.

I was going to say that his insistence that it's an attack on him and not, you know, a service in the interest of preventing crime suggests a narcissistic mindset, and I suppose the attention whore label meshes well with that observation.

he really needs a re-lepering.  we just have to accept that he enjoys taking the side opposite of everybody else.  he doesn't care if he's not rational, he wants to just get attention.  accusing cops of invading your privacy by leaving a note like this is a way of getting attention and he knows that everybody will think he's an idiot (at least on this forum).
