Yes, John Adams is awesome. ROME, Curb, even Band of Brothers was pretty good. I need to check out Deadwood, only saw the first few eps.

HBO-HD was pretty good. It got to be too expensive though after Time Warner took over from Adelphia.

I canceled it since I didn't have much time for TV anyways.

I'm not sure if I'd recommend Deadwood. The first season is awesome but there's some major problems with the other 2. Season 2 is just flat out boring while season 3 is so fucking anticlimatic that I wonder why I even wasted my time watching the series in the first place.

The Wire rocks though and Carnivale is interesting but there's no conclusion. I thought I'd be able to deal with that but the last episode of season 2 had so many WTF moments that it's total kick in balls realizing that there will be no wrap up.

Yeah, it really makes it hard to recommend, despite how much I enjoyed it.

Some older HBO flicks that were good include RKO 281, which was about the making of Citizen Kane, with Liev Schriever as Orson Wells, and I really loved Don King: Only in America. Both worth checking out, the Don King flick even if you're not into boxing.

And I'll weep the day Entourage goes off the air.
