I found him on Wikipedia.  He's in a Jessica Simpson movie.

Am I going to have to start getting used to his face now?  He doesn't seem all that funny on Youtube.

that's because he's not.  Some people seem to think he's the second coming of Christ for comedy though.

When he cut his first real album several years ago, he was moderately humorous. Now it's just the same material over and over, hyped by college co-eds and adored by women because he's actually a - gasp! - cute comic.  He's pretty much a household name now, having hosted SNL twice, so if you haven't seen him by now, you will!

Retaliation was an awful CD. I don't know how he could go from a legitimately funny CD in Harmful if Swallowed to that in just a few years.  It's like, "Wow, people liked this material so I'll just make SEQUELS to gags and RECYCLE THE MATERIAL and YELL LOUDER!"

I like the fact that the guy paid his dues and all, but that doesn't change the fact that most times, he just isn't funny. Still, I can't imagine actually hating on him for having a supportive audience if I were a fellow comedian, but alas...

The first time I saw Dane Cook was on the MTV Music Awards. I had never seen a comic bomb SO HARD on National TV. I wish someone had put it on the internet .. it was comedy gold.
