Holy shit, this film just scared the shit out of me. I think my pants are dripping. Fuck.

Probably the best usage of the first person camera perspective made infamous by Blair Witch. Not as sickening as the other uses, that's for sure, and definitely not as sickening as Cloverfield (which I also liked). It's about an hour and ten minutes of fucked up shit, but it feels longer. It's also unpredictable as fuck, from the beginning all the way to the end.

Bootleg immediately (don't think it's available in the US)

Yeah, I saw a thread about this movie on GAF I believe and checked it out. I thought it was pretty amazing and got Mupepe & my brother to watch it. Both of em enjoyed it. I dread to see the American remake though, which looks like scene-for-scene cut of the original.

America sure does know how to fuck over films from other countries through needless remakes.

Even the fucking title, "Quarantine," screams of bad. Americans will probably water down the best usage of jump scares ever and make them ever so predictable.

For real. If you've seen the trailer for the American version, it has the freaking very last scene of the ending
spoiler (click to show/hide)
the night vision freaky attic scene

in there. What the hell. That part is supposed to be a good jump scare and they're already letting you know it happens.

Seriously. When the Halloween remake is considered the high point of American horror films this decade, you know something's wrong.

The nineties had Blair Witch, the eighties had Nightmare on Elm Street, the seventies had Halloween. We have nothing good to show in this country for horror films except for Teeth.

Uh, nobody considers the Rob Zombie Halloween remake the high point of the genre this decade.  Certainly not genre fans, from Fangoria or Arrow in the Head or even the mainstream in general, which has easily propped up the Saw franchise on that pedestal.

Well, yeah, I guess Saw or Hostel is probably on the top of that list. My bad.

:lol You've reminded me that I HAVE to rent Teeth the next time I go to Blockbuster. I laughed so hard at the trailer for that movie.

The movie is really lame until the final 10 minutes. The final 10 minutes are amazing, and scary.

Movie rocked. The reporter got annoying as hell, though. I read on another site where the guys who made the original are prepping a sequel. Wonder where they could go with this... Hopefully it's not a retread.

The door's wide open for another one. Nothing is explained really.
