The Pistons haven't been a superstar team before. The thought of it seems odd. I hate when good teams give up depth for one possible 'star' or all-star and then watch themselves hit the salary wall and age wall.

I love Okafor and would like to have him, but I don't want to give up Sheed. Lots of people want to get rid of him but I don't see the point unless you get equal value.

Personally I say get rid of Prince. Everyone (in Michigan) seems to just assume Stuckey is going to be the next big thing but I dunno, so I'd keep Billips if possible. He's a liability in the playoffs but it'll be hard to find a better PG that's available.

I like him too but he's not growing as a player. We need someone at that position who can score and make opposing forwards/SGs actually do some work. Every year in the playoffs he gets torched, whether it's Jefferson, Bron, Paul, etc. Those guys don't even have to play defense because it's not like Prince is going to make them pay

Outside of Rip he might have the best trade value due to his skillset and age

Joe clearly isn't interested in rebuilding, and honestly I don't think they have the pieces to make a big move. All I know is that the Pistons need a big man who can score in the post - who that can be, I dunno. If Sheed dedicated himself to the paint this team would look a lot better imo, but that's not going to happen.

We've got future pieces (Stucky, Maxiel, Johnson) and Rip is still ace.
