I just finished Season 4 (well, the first half)

Season 3 was uneven, but at least it started strong. show never really found its footing since then. Season 4 was, frankly, atrocious. And I also guessed the Cliffhanger Ending from, uh, well, pretty much since Season 3 ended.

Poor BSG, once so great, now merely...okay.

Firefly is about charm, action, and bewbs.  BSG is nowhere near as fun and Stargate is just a snoozefest.  You should definitely watch the Serenity pilot before watching any later episodes though.

Well, about as much as you can without actually SHOWING them. I watched the entire series for the first time on Universal HD and it looked so awesome. I would definitely hold off for the Blu-ray.

Well, this is hard to quantify.  I do indeed like slutty, but the kind of slutty you get on genre TV is just so, I dunno, fanservicey.  It doesn't feel legitimately slutty because it can't be adequately filthy.  The only cable TV sluttiness I liked was probably Vic Mackey related, and that is not genre TV.
