Looks better than the trailer for sure.  Still wish they'd ignore the European Theatre with this one.

This looks good. I dig this series offline campaign. I haven't ever had time to get into the online.

I have CoD 1 and 2 for PS2 CoD 3 and 4 for PS3...I have heard that the PC games are different or even better.

I like the offline campaign with the scripted events....I got so much stuff to play that playing thru the campaign mode is enough for a CoD game to deliver its $60 worth - and then it seems that it has a SOCOMish following online.

I'm sure COD has a bigger online following, the good COD's at least.

I do not think yer sure about anything - SOCOM following actually threatened prime time TV ratings for a few years.

Borys, I'm not seeing the ugly in those shots.  At worst, it looks like a better than average WWII shooter.

It's "ugly" in the same way that COD4 was "ugly", which is to say that it's a deeply flawed image, with a remarkable presentation.

:gun COD!!! :gun

I'm really interested to see how the AI is in this game.  Also, Abrader you should def play COD on PC they're pretty much always better.

I knew this was gonna happen. The first Medal of Honor was like a genre-creating game for the WW2 FPS, and now CoD has taken its place and is going to release a fucking sequel every year just like MoH. This shit is insane.

Borys and I know that the best WW2 game of this gen so far is Medal of Honor.

I agree that Airborne was a better game than CoD2 or CoD3, but it was so fantastic that it's a WWII game in the same way Wolfenstein is.  Sniping Panzershreck soldiers and gas-mask wearing headshot-resistant macinegun-toting uber-soldats.

Airborne sucked.  It had cool ideas, but the shooting was trash and enemy AI was just awful.  Best WW2 game this gen other than CoD2 is The Outfit.  Brothers in Arms Hells Highway is gonna kill them all when it eventually gets released.

Yeah, it looks ugly blown up on my computer screen, but I bet it looks pretty awesome on my HDTV.

Same way COD4 did.  This game is running on the same engine, and I bet it looks pretty freaking nice, and runs at 60fps.  I hate to say it, but I wouldn't be surprised if I end up buying this.

You are just full of bullshitt about The Outfit.  I finished the game and liked lots of parts of it but it was the worst WW2 game I've played this gen.  I'm playing through Hour of Victory right now and that's honestly funner.

Anyways, Treyarch did a good job on COD3 (even for the single player) so I'm sure this'll be as much mindless fun.  At least since there is online co-op, you can send a "martyr" to try and stop the respawning so finishing it on veteran won't be such a nipple-fuck.

The Outfit multiplayer was tons of fun.  It was like Battalion Wars if Battalion Wars didn't suck.  The key was that it wasn't a shooter.  Maybe it was overboard to say it could be the best WW2 game this gen, but it was really fun.

I never tried the multiplayer but the campaign was really repetitive since 90%, you could only choose a character with a bazooka and you had to constantly reload and recharge your health.  I did like the way you get better troops/vehicles as you advance through the levels.
