So how are the Dot.Hack. games?

I see them at the stores all the time and they're pretty cheap, so are they any good? I'm thinking about picking up the first one or final fantasy x.

The first series (I haven't played the GU games) is awesome.

Both series are great. The first series is more challenging than the GU series that followed, but the GU series has better production values, and story. I prefer the characters in the first series even if they are a bit more shallow.

.Hack Quarantine is the hardest of the 4 to find in stores, so if you see it, grab it. I had to order a used copy off amazon without a case and print out a cover for it off the web lol.

Yeah, considering I dumped like 60 hours into just VP2 I think it was...

Its fine tho, the games are paced really well. 30 hours a game would have meant I never finished it, cause while there is story, there isnt anywhere near 120 hours of it lol.

VP1 is the worst RPG ever, so VP2 is definitely more enjoyable by that alone

I actually didn't like VP1 half as much as 2. People complained 2 didnt have the character stories 1 had, but I hated almost every single character in 1.

VP2 is a great choice, and very challenging and graphix! and VA is top notch
