I really need to stop referencing Batman when talking with people who aren't into Batman. Watching Frasier last night (Frasier kicks ass, fuck you if you disagree), it suddenly occurred to me that the Crane brothers share title and last name with Scarecrow. Stupidly enough, I said this out loud, and I got the "I married that?" stare from the wife.

Kevin Smith joins the Rolling Godfather II bus

This is an epic film. It's the "Godfather II" of comic book films. It's three times more earnest than "Batman Begins" (and fuck, was that an earnest film). It's easily the most adult comic book film ever made. Heath Ledger didn't so much give a performance as he disappeared completely into the role. The flick's nearly three hours long and only leaves you wanting more.

I can't imagine anyone being disappointed by this film
