That stupid rumor has been debunked again, and again, and again.  Do an internet search on that rumor, and you'll find it debunked.  Those stimulus checks have absolutely nothing to do with next year's taxes or returns.

This ghetto piece of shit should drop by $200, at least. Motherfucker is loud, clunky and all around a fucking barnacle. I laugh at the squeaky lame ass disc tray, and weep at the fucking noise this piece of shit makes when spinning (or hey, scratching) its uncoated last-gen disc media. And on the system software end, for all its ballyhooed dorkus community features, it's a pain in the ass to actually navigate. Full-screen tier-based McFlash shit is shit, and the time it takes for menus to populate is just plain embarrassing. And to think that this piece of rat shit is the "successor" to the incredibly best game console of all time.

In terms of hardware and software interface, it's a real shitty last-gen effort compared to the excellent Playstation 3. I guess it has Crackdown, and a bunch of community features for dorks who need to be part of dork communities and have lots of "friends," but that's about all this piece of shit system has going for it. It's got a decent games library if you like a lot of crappy games, but the system itself is a poorly designed piece of shit.

Note: the above posts may be somewhat fueled by the discovery that my rented copy of Halo 3 is a scratched up mess. It's still the Brit of consoles though.

firmware flash it and drop the reading speed to 8x, doesn't affect load times at all and the difference is like night and day as far as DVD whining noises go

I suppose if 360 developers, exclusive ones in particular, weren't so artistically inept and such worthless craftsmen, that advantage in power to produce surface pretties would even be evident.

As a genuine, non trolling question... what 360 games look better than Uncharted? Well, we know that 360 has the edge on multiplatform releases, due to it being easier to develop for, but I was always under the impression that when a dev really taps into the power of PS3, it'll come out looking slightly better than 360.

360 is really a poorly manufactured system, which is a shame because it has everything else going for it at this moment in time.

Gears 2 looks like it'll surpass Uncharted technically.  I've never even thought Uncharted was amazing looking.  Maybe it was 'cause I was playing Crysis at the same time. Or maybe it was that ugly main female character.  Putting all the technical bullcrap aside, MGS4 impresses me a lot more visually than Uncharted or any other PS3 game.  It's almost unbelievable how MGS4 managed to maintain such a smooth framerate while rendering those real time cutscenes.
