People who go to concerts just to talk are fucking scumbags

yeah so yesterday was supposed to be an awesome day.  i had tickets to see fucking TOM WAITS and i was super-excited.  tickets were insanely expensive, and he isn't that well known among the young dipshit crowd, so i didn't really think i'd have any problems with the crowd.  oh how wrong i was. 

a few minutes before the show started, a couple of kids - not even that young, i'd say early 20's - sat down and started flapping their fucking jaws.  not just talking, which i have no problem with, but YELLING stupid bullshit.  they seriously sounded like a couple of teenagers who had gotten high/drunk for the first time in their lives.  i waited for the concert to start, hoping they would stop, but of course they did not.  for about five songs i basically had two idiots in my ear saying OH MAN I REALLY NEED TO PEE WHERE'S THE BATHROOM I I THINK IT'S IN THE BACK BUT I DON'T KNOW I CAN'T MAKE I NEED TO PEE WHOA. 

everyone around them, myself included was telling them to shut the fuck up, but they only got louder and stupider.  i finally decided that there was no way i was going to let these fuckwits ruin what was probably a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so i got the manager.  i kinda felt like it was a bitch move, but good christ these kids wouldn't shut up.  after the manager spoke to them, and all of us around them yelled at them a few more times, they closed their fucking mouths and saved their shit for between the songs.

otherwise the concert was ace.  the band was excellent, most of the songs had been reworked and sounded excellent, and tom's stories were hilarious.  fucking awesome

You lucky bastard. The only thing more annoying than people talking during public entertainment venues (i.e. movies, concerts) is people talking on their cell phones. I fucking hate that. Why would you even go if you are just going to talk to someone on your phone?

I hate the cell phone at the movies thing. I also hate people who talk on their cell phones while checking out at a store. And people who are so loud at concerts you can't hear the band.

you saw Sonic Youth, Jackie O, and Wolf Eyes all at the same show?   holy fuck. Jackie O Motherfucker shows are amazing.  especially when the crowd is cool and everyone sits down to take it all in.  Being stoned (or on vicodin) is a huge plus.

on topic, I would kill anyone who tried talking through a Tom Waits show (whose name isn't Tom Waits.)
