The US is comparably as bad as the Soviets, dude.
Only an American could say such bull. Sovjets were some of the worst motherfuckers out there. Sovjets killed tens of millions, US much less, plus they tried to introduce democracy in many countries unlike the Sovjets who just wanted to establish dictatorships. Sure the US helped some dictators too, but not nearly as many as the Sojets.
obviously TVC is using some exaggeration, but the point that shoulddnt be lost is, the Soviets are widely recognized as the 'other bad motherfuckers of the century' besides the Nazis - and RIghtly so - while the US is widely seen [well, not anymore, but in the US it is, and the sheer US dominance of the world makes this a point to bring up] as a generally 'good honest, moral guys and saviors of the century'
which is half accurate. the other half is what they did to N. Americans, Filipinos after kicking the SPanish out, the vietnam adn cuban and Iran dictators right before they *gasp* went anti-american [hmm, I wonder why...], blacks, etc etc
But of course, it's politically safe and correct thing to do to praise only the good side of teh US.
