If they're porting to DS there's a good chance that some kind of new Chrono sequel or spinoff is coming. Square usually releases ports of old games in franchises in conjunction with new ones, or at least as an attempt to maintain interest.

Sorry I just woke up, and goddamn what news to wake up to! Chrono Trigger DS, Suikoden VI PSP, two new portable Tales? This new generation of portable JRPG's is nothing short of badass.

It's also surprising to see an entirely new entry of Suikoden (not a spinoff?) on the PSP. I guess Konami is very adamant in keeping game series on systems where their particular markets lie (see: MGS, Silent Hill, Suikoden).

Tales and Suikoden are such shit. I don't understand why people bother with that hyper animu tripe. I knew this guy, he played ToS for the Gamecube. He wanted me to play co-op. So we started and told him how gay I thought the game was about 15 minutes in. He proceeded to tell me how "dark and mature" the story gets. We never hung out again.

I'm gonna wait on the final word about the Chrono Trigger scan. I imagine its not hard to find a Chrono Trigger logo with a bunch of japanese words around it.

Konami has no confidence in the series. It keeps flopping and has a couple of shitty entries. Now they've sent it to die on the PSP in hopes of catching some run off from the Monster Hunter crowd. Its got 6 games and a shitty tactics game...safe to say at this point it'll never catch on in the U.S. and instead, it'll die a lonely death at the bottom of a pile of shitty jrpgs with horrible animu art...lonely, cold, and desperate for one lapsed invalid to look its way.
