There's a nice amount of variety in environments, based purely on vegetation and lighting conditions. Very pretty game.
I'm surprised an art cigarillo like you think it's pretty . The character art is terrible except for maybe Sully.
Pfft. The character designs for enemies, including bosses are basically lifted straight out of The Phantom, and thus fit the action billing perfectly. Which is what this game is;
some good adventure game, a well produced piece with good game design values. It's not an incredible, groundbreaking epic, but rather a good matinée sort of affair. It's just a shame it became all hocus pocus.
I also loved the fact that the enemy animations were so over the top. Enemies crouch-jump out to take potshots at me, and the death animations were beautiful.
And the aforementioned environments... that damned dark ruin (monastery?) area is just incredible, highlighting the fuck awesome shadows. There were a few less than great environments, but on the whole, it had variety and a consistently high quality.
