I remember being at the Warped Tour in 1997 or 1998. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones were the headlining band (they had the big single that summer). At the exact same time the Bosstones were playing on the big main stage, and all the people were crowded around, Limp Bizkit were on the tiny stage basically next to the Bosstones. This was before their second album (I think before their first, even). Nobody knew who they were, but since they were next to the big stage with the Bosstones, Fred Durst tried to troll the audience to make them pay attention to him. Since this was before people were too dumb to like rap rock, nobody gave him any attention.

those were good summer years though. between playing Pokemon all day with friends (I could go door to door and challenge people), StarCraft all evening, and reading Harry Potter all night I had it made

The first concert I ever went to was in HS - Staind, Kid Rock, and Limp Bizkit at the Hammerstein... with Run DMC (before Rev Run was killed) making a surprise appearance during the Kid Rock set.

People just hate on Bizkit and Korn because they can. Same with Blink 182.

I still love Three Dollah Bill Ya'all, Follow the Leader, and most of Blink 182's discography (Enema of the State WAS pretty bad though).

One thing we can all agree on though is that Disturbed and Linkin Park are horrible.

Korn's first album was popular in high school, but I matured before all that other shit got popular, thank god.
I got caught up in Marilyn Manson hype a little bit when Anti-Christ Superstar came out, but I'm not sure I would've recovered if I ever became a Limp Bizkit fan
