Before I had kids and got married, us guys would work every holiday on purpose. 1. to get shit done. 2. had nothing better to do. and 3. because of the pay.

The best part about the holiday is the holiday pay.  When I worked Christmas Day shifts, I'd get double pay and the workloads were pretty light.
