I have two pairs of them. They make a huge difference and helped round out the DS3. Sony should have done it this way in the first place.
I am also surprised by how sturdy they are. They just snap in, no glue or anything, and after a few months of playing with them on, they never came off or got loose.
do they not ship to america 
They sell them on Amazon for $10 a pair, but they also come with a metal (I'm not joking here) shield for the DS3 controller.
