Bought this and hanged it

Also bought a bunch of LOTR posters, but after a few years I pulled them off except for a map of Middle-Earth, similar to this one.

anyone have any idea on where I can get cheap posters or where there's a good selection?  also, what about having them framed?  i want them to look pretty decent.  is it expensive?

Framing can probably cost you a penny, unless you know a place. I just slapped some tape on the side and stuck it to the wall - I can always buy another one if it gets destroyed

as long as they're vintage and in a foreign language, they are cool

I want a full-sized Barry Lyndon one, but I can't find one.  Or at least I couldn't several months ago.  And an Alphaville one.

if you have them professionally framed it's expensive, yeah. however, cheap plastic poster frames can be had at wal-mart. they're not fancy and come in black and that's pretty much it, but they come super cheap and protect your posters better than if you simply hang them on the wall.

if you move, you don't have to worry about moving framed posters, either. just dump the cheap ass frames and buy new ones whenever you get to your new place.

nice.  i'm not looking for anything fancy with frames, just something to make it look a lil more decent.

I'm not sure about framing posters. It raises their status to that of paintings. And posters aren't that. Except if you have a repro of a painting that is. In which case framing a poster would be cool.

If your pad is too cool to have an unframed poster it probably shouldn't have one.
eh, i'm not talking about a fancy wooden frame or something with track lighting to show it off.  i just think they look nicer with a cheap frame or something

It would only be nerdy if you hang some chinese or japanese movie and you live in America. That just screams "VIRGIN".

The posters I have in my room:

Curb Your Enthusiasm First Season
Napoleon Dynamite
Empire Strikes Back
Anchorman

I've got a Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door Japanese theatrical one-sheet signed by original character designer Toshihiro Kawamoto.

It's sitting in the basement. Yay for being married.

Actually, it doesn't fit anywhere in our house, but it will probably go up when we finish turning our basement into a rec room.

I admit, I think it's very nerdy.

However, if you have movie posters on the wall and still get nailed regularly, then you're a certified stud.  :-*

11 x 17 isn't full sized, and that's not the alphaville poster I'd want.  I'd want this one:
