:hyper :omg Love the vibe of this game (from concept, to color palette and art style, setting). Lets hope it's not another Assissin's Creed: awesome concept, but too ambitious and badly realized. :-\

this is a sandbox game? I thought it was based on levels? this sounds like one of the worst ideas ever. platforming is shit in fps, why would anyone want to make an entire base based around it without gimmicks like as seen in Portal?

Yeah, this game actually looks pretty interesting even though I don't care much for sandbox games... great graphic style too, though I can't say I'm too much of a fan of the lead character design. EA has turned around quite a bit this gen, they've been putting effort into a lot of original ip's with decent art styles and mechanics... Skate, Boom Blox, and now this. I used to detest EA with a passion, now I think Activision (aside from the stuff Infinity Ward makes) and Ubi are faaaaaaar worse.

But I can never forgive them for killing off the best WRPG series ever.

This game looks so amazing.  Everything about it looks amazing so far.  I literally have no single complaint about the direction they are heading based on what was shown.

I still think that the first trailer of this game is probably the best, if not one of the best trailers ever made for a video game.

I can see it in that EDGE cover, but the in-game model is fantastic.

And where are you guys getting your information that this is a sandbox open game? In the Gametrailers interview they say it isn't.  Also the idea that you can go through the entire game without shooting a single gun and actually getting an achievement (possibly trophy) for it is amazing.  Totally awesome.

They are compensating for her head movement.  That is why.  Unlike a lot of other FPS games where the characters head is tight on the body, this moves around to give you a better sense of the world similar to how it would in real life.

A huge concept of the game is based around colors.  They aren't just graphics or aesthetic choices.  The game actively highlights objects in the world in red when they represent your best/main route depending on which path you take.  The use of colors is simple and meant to catch the eye while you are running, and since it is all momentum based, you can't really stop and turn around when there are people who are trying to kill you.

the whole point of the game is to have first person platforming that doesn't suck.  nobody would care about this game if it was third person.

This game could be amazing IF it works, but that's a pretty big if.  First person platforming is usually agony, basing a game around it is pretty bold.

I dig the vibe and graphics so far but people need to get hands-on time with it.

Condemned 2 is pretty bad, but it has a good first person melee fighting system.  Breakdown also had a good first person melee fighting system.  Mirror's Edge has one button for attacking that changes based on momentum and one for disarming.  Condemned 2 is more in line with what Breakdown was than Mirror's Edge is.

And Condemned 1 was awesome because it was a survival horror game with a basic first person combat system and decent story.  Condemned 2 was bum fights where you, a drunk smelly hobo, would fight other hobos until the second half of the game where they decided to make it a sci-fi piece of shit where you yell at people.  This is the actual concept of the game:  You are a bum who fights, drinks, and yells at people.  That sounds awesome on paper, but it didn't turn out good.  One good thing is that you literally beat the shit out of your alcoholism problem.

Platforming worked well in the Metroid Prime series, mostly thanks to tweaks to the camera, but with the speed shown in this game it'll be difficult to nail down.

I'm surprised its taken this long for devlopers of FPSs to take a look at realistic platforming as a new way to work with level design. Instead of having everyone fly around on Jetpacks or use strategically placed ladders.
