I think it looks really good. I hope those are dream sequences though.

Oh and, is that bank sequence from the bank sequence early on in Max Payne 1? Awesome if so.

If they can work blood flying through the air from guys getting shot up into a PG-13 than I'm cool with it. I'm just afraid it's gonna be like Medal of Honor or something with dust puffs.

Yeah, I'm not really sure either. First I thought I felt a bit of Sin City vibe, but then it all went kaput.

you act like the max payne games were particularly violent and had lots of cussing. They didn't, from my memory.

i'd say the games are closer to an R rated movie. but this movie barely seems seated in the same universe as the games anyway. there were hallucinations, but not of demons... and there was no talk about raising an undead/demon army or anything. there was nothing overly supernatural about the games.

Metaphors. And the dream sequences are just different for the movie. There are mythical references in the game, "The flesh of fallen angels" etc

trailer has real bad editing if they're indeed metaphors. trailer makes it seem more like a theme with all the "devil building his army" crap.

They're probably pulling a The Fountain or Pan's Labyrinth with creative editing to pull in a different audience

Mortal Kombat is still the greatest video game to movie adaptation of all time. Nothing after it comes even close. I doubt this will either.

Mortal Kombat was great. The sequel sucked.

And a random bit of knowledge from watching it, but the guy who played Liu Kang was actually in the Dead or Alive movie. I still find it hilarious that you see a guy's balls in that movie and no tits.
