Nintendo's upcoming Wii MotionPlus accessory for the revolutionary Wii Remote controller again redefines game control, by more quickly and accurately reflecting motions in a 3-D space. The Wii MotionPlus accessory attaches to the end of the Wii Remote and, combined with the accelerometer and the sensor bar, allows for more comprehensive tracking of a player’s arm position and orientation, providing players with an unmatched level of precision and immersion. Every slight movement players make with their wrist or arm is rendered identically in real time on the screen, providing a true 1:1 response in their game play. The Wii MotionPlus accessory reconfirms Nintendo’s commitment to making games intuitive and accessible for everyone. Nintendo will reveal more details about the Wii MotionPlus accessory and other topics Tuesday morning at its E3 media briefing.
why not just replace the old controller with this advanced one instead of making people buy an add on
this isn't going to work well with them "casuals"

If MS announces their waggle now they have just been pwnedNow only please at least teaser of new Zelda using this and Nintendo will be, once again, GODS of gaming. It's funny though how Nintendo won E3 even before it started. Lolz.
does this really jive with nintendo's casual, performance-agnostic market approach? i guess they're already losing the plot
Add-ons don't work, that's why the wii-mote wasn't released with the gamecube.
the more i think about this, the less sense it makes -- the average user swatting at imaginary tennis balls has no idea that there's anything wrong with his wii remote. and now nintendo has to tell him all about it
g35twinturbo implied sony has something to show
This is exactly what Nintendo needs to own the competion: No AAA games but an add-on.
it makes sense if they weren't just paying lip service about targeting the "hardcore" (elohel) this yearexpecting a bunch of shooter announcements at their e3 deal

ms and sony are investing in 3D-tracking camera technology.
and the waggle arms race begins. can't wait to see what sort of stupid garbage sony and microsoft mean to sell us
I can't wait for PC gamers to have to start tilting their keyboards.
thanks to a healthy independent developer scene and large regions of the world where the PC is the only real platform for gaming, we're somewhat immune to this.I guess I should feel bad for console gamers though, it sure seems like you're watching your own accelerated version of Idiocracy play out right before your eyes.
Meh, if it all goes to waggle, it's really no big loss. There are other things to do.

You are speaking my language crushed! Next Zelda made by Dead Rising team and Zelda team combined to make a sexy re imagining of it.
I don't like the idea of buying another addon, especially since Wiimote + Nunchuck is already $60... and Nintendo is the "cheap" system, their console is cheap and games are $10 cheaper, but they nickle and dime you when it comes to the peripherals. 1:1 could be cool, if developers can figure out how to use it well...
