how could anyone hate on that demonstration? they were able to show off many of the sequel's new additions in a very vivid way. too bad they didn't actually show off the new mode though

My only problem is that the gameplay looks exactly the same, although that certainly isn't unexpected. Everything else, like the graphics, the enemy variety, and scripted events [collapse of huge building while you're inside it], along with the prospect of getting to pilot a huge robot thing, have generated a modest amount of excitement for me. I just hope it's a little bit longer than the first game.

I thought the previous demo on the moving vehicle was really boring. This was so much better. It is more of the same, but there are some, and I mean this when I say it, brilliant things going on in that video. The movable shield looks awesome. I thought it would be like that horrible shield in MGO, but this is actually awesome and can even stop rockets. The best part was the chain gun. I mean, it is so ingenious to have it rest on the cover you are hiding behind. That is such a great idea. I'm being 100% honest here since 99% of these 'shit if not on a tripod, yet you can still carry' guns in games such since you have some an awkward way of laying it down. Such a good idea. Flame thrower still doesn't impress me much in the gameplay view.

Well, yeah. I was disappointed in the visuals, coming from the introduction clip. And the enemies looked lame as piss, down to the Brumak. Just didn't feel like a very exciting scenario, and when they fell there... urgh. I'm sure the game will by and large kick ass, but this wasn't exciting.

OK, strike my bitching from the record, it looks hot. That spider-like manned creature looks about as responsive as a widowmaker on easy, but that's how the Gears 1 demonstrations were too.

i'm totally digging what epic is doing with GOW2. the best part about the game was the co-op campaign. if that's what the focus is for the sequel, it's going to be shooter of the year for me.

Well, it still has that same bland overly grey artstyle, but the pacing seems vastly improved from the original's stop-and-go level design. New features look cool too. This looked better than I was expecting...

It isn't really real 5 player co-op. It is more 5 people against a swamp of enemies. GTA4 has this mode also.

was such a better trailer than that "artsy" (LOL) trailer using madworld. it actually fit the game this time.

There's no 4p co-op in campaign, it's 2P. Instead they have a horde mode 5p co-op where you battle streams of on-coming ai-controlled locusts. The game also has bots for MP, which is pretty awesome!

Horde mode seems to take place on MP maps and features all sorts of locusts, not just the ones from MP.
