They just had one of the Ensemble dudes in studio for their live E3 thing on G4 demoing Halo Wars (they had some folks from Lionhead playing Fable 2 earlier). Spring 09, it looks like. Play as Covenant during skirmish mode, co-op for the campaign, that sort of stuff. Probably not news to anyone paying attention, but I don't pay attention.

After watching the G4 footage just now, it seems to be just that.  Actually maybe a bit less.

Curious to see how the reactions to the game will be from the press. I know that because E3 is primarily a console show now most of the PC strategy folk have penciled in a stop in for Halo Wars as part of the schedule, and I'll be interested to know if they made a compelling game or just another awkward PC RTS shoehorned into a console.
