Kinda bummed that my cats isn't smart :(

For whatever reason I found myself reflecting on the old story about the crow who wanted to drink water out of a glass, but couldn't reach his beak in low enough so he dropped stones in to raise the water level. With this in mind I decided to see how far my cats would go to eat. I pulled out there food and they watched as I poured their food into paper cups. Then I sat the cups in their food bowls. Their heads are too big to fit into the cups so I wanted to see if they'd do the smart thing - ie knock the cup over.

It's been two hours and both cups remain, un-tipped. All my friends have smart cats that do tricks and shit but my cats can't figure out simple scenarios  :'(

I've been working on getting one of my mom's more vocal cats to say hello. I think it's actually starting to work.
