Reading The Last of Us information posted on gaf, a lot of it sounds like a higher quality version of I Am Alive.
I Am Alive does look rough but I'm still interested in it. There was something about how limited medkits mean if you heal yourself, a later event to heal an NPC can't be completed. Bluffing with an unloaded pistol and things like that could be cool too. My problem with it, and Last of Us, is mostly that these are linear games. These concepts would have greater impact in a Fallout or STALKER, or even a game that has branching paths. Instead the survival gimmick is like a series of bubbles, with each instance remaining independent from the journey as a whole. Like that climbing video is just prince of persia. I doubt you could screw it up and climb into a dead end because you picked the wrong path.
