i loved it up until the fighting, then i was like "oh."

but that little bit where he helped the princess hop up to the ledge was awesome, hope the game is mostly that type of stuff and less circling around one enemy chipping away at them for five minutes

This seems to be the total opposite from a slow-moving baby-sitting game.

You're not babysitting Eleka and Eleka can't die - she enhances what you can do. Also, the movement over ledges and obstacles if super-fast (I LOVE this).

Also the combat looks FUCKING INCREDIBLE.

Edit: Crushed, can you at least spoiler that shit so it doesn't take up so much room. Nobody's interested.

The combat doesn't look interesting and just looks like it will take too long to kill this enemy. I mean, the best part of PoP3 last gen was that you could kill enemies in one hit so you can get back to the fun platforming. Other than that I think this game looks phenomenal.

I do like the idea of one on one combat only, but all that depends on the depth it will provide.

the enemy fight was broken up by platforming -- it was integrated into the overall battle

I see what you mean swaggaz - I guess it depends on whether you like to have combat sections in the game.

It reminds me a little of Sands of Time where you platformed for a while and then battled for a while, except here they're in faster succession.

Personally, I think I'll like the variety.

I did like that. I hope there are some SOTC type fights in there also. I am really just skeptical about it mainly. It looks like a lot of shit was happening, yet they keep pimping this casual meets hardcore ideology to it. It can't really get any more boring that Ass. Creed combat was or what old PoP games had sans instant kill.

I do like that they're concentrating on the one-tough-enemy-at-a-time idea. It is a little different to where many games are going at the moment.

That looks really good, haven't watched the Gamespot level play, but I'm hoping it focuses a LOT on platforming... Sands of Time was a fantastic platformer/puzzler marred by horrible combat, never have I seen a game so two-faced before.

Looks good. There is something about the movement of the characters though, something off about the anticipation. But that's really a very minor thing, and I may just be seeing things that aren't there. I love the environment.

It is very 'effortless', but glad they're going in a faster platforming direction.

When you're feeling like a platforming badass, some slow hand-over-hand ledge crawling is a real mood-killer.

Sorry, now I get where you're coming from.

The main way I'm reminded of Ico is that Ico had a kind of pastel/painted look to it, and PoP is really taking that to the limits and trying to make it look like a painting.
