Most big box managers also wear business attire (I'm talking on the SM level), at least at every Target I've worked at.

I'm not expecting my entire staff to wear suits.  Nor will I wear a suit EVERY day.  Likely on weekends, because it's when we get the most customer incidents in regards to returns and/or scams, and that'll help guard against that.

You're not in the business of selling yourself to lonely housewives that step on and off a white board in the hopes that their Mii will lose a few pounds (and by default - them).  I'm nothing but a common whore, good sir.

You strike me as a kid with Internet brass balls and nothing else.

Here's the problem with your argument - GameStop is NOT a store for nerds. It used to be, once upon a time, but that demographic is maybe just a quarter (if that) of our sales. It caters to a very mainstream and older crowd, especially with the popularity of the Wii. Just the Wii has brought in a huge amount of cash flow that never existed before. And our largest customer base in terms of utilizing the trade-in system are professionals that didn't really buy games before the Wii or have had a multi-generational gap since their last purchase.

Why are suits such a big deal?

I approve of your suit wearing tactics, Willco!

Gamestop still looks like it caters towards a certain demographic though... the game boxes all haphazardly thrown all over the place, covered in gunk and stickers... little kids running around because their parents expect the store employees to "babysit" them while they're off shopping elsewhere... giant cardboard advertisements and posters, store looks like a trainwreck and not to mention it always tends to smell like shit (especially in the summer). See that store Amusix has in San Diego for a nice, classy, adult-style store. A suit really is gonna look out of place there, for now.

The features are fucking awesome, dude.  It motherfucking compares the price of gas at nearby stations, gives traffic status (and suggests alternate routes to avoid traffic), plays audiobooks and mp3s, receives news updates, local movie times, tracks a ton of nearby stores, tracks weather, stock prices, etc.  It's also bluetooth married to my cell phone, so I can hands free call while driving.

Yeah this one is pretty sweet, my uncle had it when we went to play paintball this past weekend.  It's very useful on long trips.
