But then that's a problem with most live demos of racing games.

I couldn't even watch it, I held out for the first third but I couldn't fucking take it anymore when he rode through the river upside down.

Were they forcing people to use motion controls?

motorstorm is a little different though.  for people not used to the controls, it's really hard.  the tracks are really unforgiving to the point where you're practically fighting them.  journalists always seem to blow chunks at any game they play at these events, so it's even worse when it's a game like motorstorm.

I originally planned to skip this game since I am still enjoying the first one enough, but they are adding a good amount of stuff to this that makes me want to pick it up.  Motorstorm is really fun.

I think the reason I like it so much is that it is a non-linear racing game.  I mean, you are still going around laps, but there are times when you have the big trucks going in the canyon below while the motorcycles are in the hill tops and they hit a ramp and jump down and it gets all crazy.  It also isn't like Mario Kart where there is a random shortcut that is almost always the best route.  Different vehicles also radically change around how you play.

motorstorm 1 would have been great if everything loaded faster and the interface was snappy.  the vehicle selection menu was a pain in my arse.

it's dirty fun though, just not that spectacular.

The gameplay rules but the content sucks, MS2 will be blissful.

This was the most impressive Sony game for me. I liked Motorstorm but as Justin said you're always fighting things and there wasn't enough content.

The island setting looks MUCH better and there should be some decent options this time.
