So I'm watching Adaptation right now, and I noticed Nicholas Cage can act!
How come he doesn't do that in every movie?

Did you ever consider that maybe the way he acts in garbage like The Rock, Con Air and National Treasure is carefully calculated to appeal to the morons who make those movies box office monsters?

Cage is so awesome. Face/Off, Con Air, 8MM, Adaptation, Leaving Las Vegas, Family Man, Lord of War etc.. Great stuff.

yeah, he's really good in leaving las vegas, but i hate that movie so much. i gave the dvd away for free--i never wanna see that movie again. i don't think i've ever not wanted to see a movie again like with this one.

His best performance was in The Rock. I still work in about 3/4th the lines he used in that movie in my every day speech.

Adaptation fucking rocked. Don't let the title or the pretense of the movie fool you. This is one fucked up movie. Also, don't see his Mandolin movie. Geez, his acting / singing was brutal.
