Seriously, Twisted Metal 2 was what sold me on a PS1.  I played Twisted Metal Black for ungodly amounts of hours on the PS2 modem dealio.  Fuck, come on. 

If you guys gave me a next gen remake of 2, I'd suck your dicks hardcore.  Watching the Eiffel Tower fall in 1080p (or 720p if you want you to be a dick about it) glory would be boner inducing.

Buy Twisted Metal Head On for PSP.  It is a lot like a remake of Twisted Metal 2.  Its out for both the PSP and PS2.

They haven't formally announced it, but Jaffe more or less confirmed it in a Gametrailers interview, except he had to say theoretically before everything he said.

Yes you do. As someone who loved TM 1 and 2, Head On is classic. I didn't really like Black too much, it moved too quickly and killed a lot of the strategy because of that.

I think the TM franchise is being ignored because it doesn't fit into the "interactive movie" style that's so popular these days, like the borderline-awful Uncharted. If I wanted to watch a mediocre treasure hunt action movie, I'd watch one. The "game" is so easy it's absurd. Bring back fucking GAMES like Twisted Metal!

The only Twisted Metal game I played alot was the first one back in 95.  I remember how the suburb level blew my mind because of how big that level was and that they actually modeled the storm canals and you could drive into them.  For some reason this seemed fucking insane back then.
