Battlefield Bad Company on the PS3 is weird.

I rented out the PS3 version of B:BC since my 360 is dead and I won't be buying one until the price drops.. and what the fuck is up with the framerate? I played for about a hour; and I had TONS of big framerate drops online. We're talking drops into the single digit.

Also the image quality seems lower in the ps3 version; This is SUCH a letdown. Has anyone tried it?

the resolution is the same for both just no AA for the ps3 version.

i've heard the game has major problems online on the ps3 version (well, 360 too, actually, but those were supposedly EA issues)...apparently it's like server lag dragging it to a crawl.

I own the 360 version and was never bad like that.

I only played the demos on each platform.  Biggest difference is the tearing in the PS3 version.  That is all I noticed.

console versions of PC franchises

Word.  This game is shit compared the best online games ever that were BF1942 and BF2.  Then again, maybe DICE has gone to shit since Battlefield 2142 was garbage and BF Heroes looks questionable.  But then there is Mirror's Edge

I've been playing BF since 1942, and BF:BC is a pretty damn good entry in the series. There's nothing wrong with it.
