PC EB: Is there a fix for the stuttering in Sacred?

The game is still playable, but it's annoying to have a barely above D2-game stutter this much.  Since Sacred is a common term, it's difficult to investigate, but what I have found out is that the stuttering is a relatively common problem.

Frag, Borys, Prole, MAF, help me out here.  I dig the game, but the stuttering is going to make me shake a bitch.

Did you try a no CD patch?

Like I said, it's the Steam version, so I'd assume it is the latest patch.  I'm not sure I could patch it further even if I wanted to.
