You really need to keep up on the Sony stuff if you intend to mock it. Heavy Rain was shown, and seems to have been quite well received. It was behind closed doors though, so not much has been reported.

Kid Icarus Wii, Pikmin 3, and the Team ICO game... really disappointed these weren't shown. Also, surprised I didn't see SO1 and 2 PSP pop up in the PSP game montage at Sony's press conference. Perhaps it was due to the S-E snubbing the previous day.

It's because the developers of those games made great games before them. Heavy Rain I am still trying to figure out why people want, but it seems like they were going for some kind of deep emotional impact with the characters. I don't know.

Alan Wake is made by the guys who made Max Payne 1 and 2. That is enough to have me pumped for it.

I like the goals that the creator has set for Heavy Rain. Keeping in mind, of course, that the last time I allowed myself to be excited about goals set by a developer with a less than remarkable track record, we got Haze. So yeah, not hyping this one. Make a good game, then talk.

Alan Wake is some kind of horror action game where you fight with a gun and flash light.

Heavy Rain is apparently a non-game where you play as a woman's face.

I have no idea what Heavy Rain is about, but I like what the guy behind the game has said about it, which is that it will focus on a more personal story, a closer experience so to speak. No clue whatsoever what that will mean in regards to the actual game, or what quality the game will be, but I think that with every other game being about the world in some form coming to an end unless I pull off some heroic feat, something more personal and human is a welcome alternative.

I haven't followed Alan Wake at all. I know the developer has a good pedigree, and it looks very atmospheric, but I don't know anything about the actual game.

From what I've heard, SO1 drops in October and 2, in Jan 2009.

Alan Wake is survival horror which is reason enough to be excited. I didn't expect it to be shown at this E3 though.

And yeah, if they learned their lessons with Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy, Heavy Rain could be brilliant. I don't have the slightest clue what it's about but that doesn't really matter.
