So the Empire of the Rising Sun gets gundams and psychic schoolgirls in trouble:

I kind of want to write this but the problem is balancing the crazy, anything goes, over-the-top tone of Akira with the lurking horror of Lovecraft. If I can figure out how to resolve this I may get started.

okay, so psychic Japanese schoolchildren vs. Cthulhu is a good idea for a story

but brainwashed right-wing psychic Japanese schoolchildren facing off against Cthulhu in an alternate history 1950s where Japan won the war...is the BEST idea. seriously, this idea is too awesome.
