Holy crap shaving this morning was a pain. I wonder if its a mild earache or I slept funny. Regardless there is only one way to answer a threat like this:

Could be a mild inflammation on the hearing nerve, which would affect the facial nerve. As long as you don't start talking like an old pirate, you should be fine.

Sometimes I grind my teeth while I sleep, which causes my jaw and ear to hurt pretty bad. Are your teeth all rough n craggy?

Nah. I have been sleeping on the floor the past few weeks since it seems to have completely cured my insomnia. I think a cold draft was blowing on the floor and it caught up with me maybe. Cant win.

I do grind my teeth, but its never caused jaw pain.

Yeah, I dunno what it is about sleeping on a bed, but I had the worst time falling asleep, and then I had episodes where i'd wake up after 2 hours of sleep with my body feeling all weird and disconnected and i'd feel like it was half-dream. It was really distressing.

This thread is a marketing ploy by big pharma. Won't work. I've had an ear deal going on with my right ear for four weeks now. I think it's getting better.

I'll see a doctor about it if I'm ever hospitalized.

The doctor would just tell me to take advil and stick cotton in my ear. Im not payin him money to do what I already know! Advil isn't big pharma, its like Big Grandmama that wants to cook you chicken noodle soup and give you advil.

The ear isn't a big deal to me, anyway. Er, as long as I can still hear. Like I said, I think it's getting better.

I'm more concerned with why my nose seems to always alternate between stuffed or runny with nary a moment of normalcy. Going on for a couple of years now. Meh, I'll see a doctor about it if I'm ever hospitalized.

Ear problems worry me mostly because as a kid I was plagued with inner-ear/ear drum issues. I guess I collapsed in 2nd grade from it. So when I feel ear stuff I get all UH OH. Im sure it'll be fine tho, its my left ear as usual.

My nose is the same as yours. I use saline rinse once in a while but i've had my sinuses checked and they never see anything really wrong. I've been told I have narrow NOSE HOLES or whatever.

For me, I'm just assuming the ear thing is related to the nose thing as probably an effect of post nasal drip or something.

As with everything, I say that there's little that ails you that can't be at least temporarily remedied by a nice, tasty Coke. That may or may not be true, of course, but at least the Coke tastes good.

I've had swimmers ear. Hurt like hell but doesn't sound like what you have.

As for Advil... I used to be an Advil junkie. Used it for everything. Then one day was drinking some booze of some sort or the other and my left eye started to swell up, no iching of pain of anykind, just swollen. I thought it was the booze but I can't stop drinking so I just ignored it. Then it happened again a month or so later and kept happening every once in a while, sometimes with booze sometimes without. It took a while to figure it out (especially considering the mess my memory is, you know from the acloholism). It was Advil! Advil, my sweet sweet pain relieving friend had betrayed me. I haven't used Advil for almost a year now, however, the silver lining is that I can continue sousing it up without fear. Who want to live into thier 70's anyway?

Out with Advil in with booze is the moral of my brief tale.

I had something like that once. Then the side of my face swelled up like a huge tumor. Doctor said it was some kind of blockage in there. Went away after a couple of weeks.

Well ain't this medical calamity central.

At the gym tonight, I was loading weight to work on my quads. Dropped a 45 pound weight right on my foot. The index toe absorbed the worst of it, the middle one got in on it, but the rest avoided most of the carnage. Nasty looking bruise on the tip of that one toe. Oh well, I'll see a doctor about it if I'm ever hospitalized.

In other news, I increased the weight resistance for that exercise tonight. Pain from the foot blocking out pain from the quad! Score!
