Listening to his podcasts,

-He brings up that he's playing MGS4
-He doesn't rag on the competition, and often compliments them.

i know he did that tech comparison a while ago, but I still like his podcast better than something like 1upyours.

Zero Hero the magic clue is to respond with points that oppose what mojo already said or provide him with new information that could alter his opinion. "He gives the competition a fair shake" -> "But he's a taco" doesn't really jive.

Wasn't he the dude that was basically caught with a carrot in his ass regarding the 360 launching in two configurations? If so, that'd then be the same dude who talked high and mighty about the importance of HDD in a console, only to change his tune right when the announcement of Core and Premium was made.

Right, but knowing the events of the above, I'd imagine it could be hard to listen to anything that he says to say, on a podcast or otherwise. Just saying, that might be why people "hate" him.

His podcast is ok. Only listened to it once or twice. Too promotional if you ask me.

I think he's good at what he does though. Could be some other guy who's not as skilled.

People hate him because he's a vocal MS employee.

But I think Sony needs someone like him. He twitters everything, updates with what content is on Live, talsk about features coming in future MS updates, etc.

You don't go to him for reviews on Xbox games, and he doesn't really do that either.

the PSblog and podcasts like the full moon show pretty much fill that role.

Yeah, I think he's nice, too. A little dorky, but that's something to be appreciated as well; he's not overly self-conscious. I ran into him at GDC on his way to the airport, and he seemed genuinely surprised (and a little happy) to be recognized.

The latter, sadly. I'm just lucky there was a P-A character that looks like me; it's from the strip where two guys walk in, then out of a store with a shiny new 360 while everyone freezes in line waiting in line for a PS3.
