That of everyone in the tv series I feel the most sorry for this guy:

I think of all of them he got the worst end. gonna watch the movie tomorrow.

The series is much better than the movie, which just felt kind of fan-servicey without any meaningful contributions to the story. You should go ahead and watch it, but temper your expectations.

I was actually fine with the ending in general. I'm not really looking for the movie to provide me with something I feel is missing.

I'd be fine with something entirely absurd but awesome like the G man becoming a state alchemist.

It is probably the best recap episode ever if only because it sums up the entire series by having one long battle that shows each stage of their progression since the first episode. The worst part is the Cougar dies. Fuck that. The Earth is now bloated and large without him alive.

Gurren Lagann isn't 100% awesome since they introduced Nia to appeal to loli fegs everywhere, but it had moments to still shine after that.
