I'd much prefer it come out in the summer, since the original came out in May.

I'd rather it come out when there's less competition. It's a pretty smart decision as it will get buried in the summer. My main concern with this flick right now is that they're aiming for a 90 min movie that goes into detail about Jason's childhood which is completely unnecessary and usually detracts from the tension of the villain (much like them trying to explain Leatherface).

Honestly, this series needed a relaunch way worse than Halloween did, and it's looking damn fucking good, so I can't wait.
