I wear either a dress shirt and a tie, dress slacks, and dress shoes when interviewing or that plus a jacket (for the more upscale employers)

I always heard and believed that a guy who knows his shit will probably not be walking around in a T-Shirt and baggy pants with a chain on it.  Unless you count those eccentric geniuses who look like they got stuck in a wind tunnel on the way to the interview.  Dressing well means you are probably more likely to give a shit about your job.  Exception is if the dress code is very lax but you won't know that until after you are hired.

wait wait wait

so basically

Shinobi thinks that "shit games = shit sales"?

Dude

have you even been paying attention?  Why the hell do you think Wii is taking off?  Why do you think we're seeing triple and quadruple sequels of shit Petz/ Horsez/ Training games?

Furthermore, have you heard of the phrase "publisher moneyhatting?"  Like, why do you think certain games always get eye-level retial shelf space?

Like, the world would be a better place if quality corresponded postively with sales, but there's this thing called "reality."

GAMESTOP: Serious Business!

This is the problem with youth today. It IS a business and I take hiring seriously so you guys don't get hassled by poor customer service. That's why I'm going to hire the college grads desperate for cash and not dumb kids too stupid to not wear a polo!

No, you're going to hire the hot ones that  you think you have a chance to nail.

maybe i should apply at my local gamestop. the guys who work there seem a little weird though. it's right around the corner from my house, on the other hand. employee discount would be sweet too the way games are priced here in yurop :-\

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the prices the same as ever, only now that the dollar is weaker, you think you should get more of a discount?

60 euro for a game is ridiculous either way.

and in switzerland it's even worse, new titles often sell for 110 swiss francs, which is almost 70 euros, which is the equivalent of 105 usd.

i don't "think" i should get any sort of discount. even when the dollar was strong shit was still way more expensive here. believe me, i've got a U.S. bank account, and i've been taking full advantage of that weak dollar when it comes to gaming. i import almost every game i want, and so do most other people who are serious about gaming. i just wish i could walk into a local game store and not have to drop mad cash every time i want to buy something.
