I paid off my car loan last year, and I'm at 97K miles right now. Needless to say, I hope to not have another for quite a while. I'm not one to continually hop in and out of new cars and then find myself upside down. Screw that. My parents, on the other hand, seem to get a new car every other week.

That would be horrible. Mine had a problem or two early in its life, but nothing really major. It's been good, though, the past few years.

I'm hoping it lasts as long as the car before it, which was at 225K miles when I traded it. That may actually be longer than I'd be willing to keep it at the rate I'm putting miles on it.

It's an arty drama with heavy symbolism. UA's character represents water, and she gets involved with Asano's character, who represents fire. It's really slow, but is full of beautiful imagery, and it makes an old Japanese bathhouse seem like the most inviting and comfortable place ever. Oh, and UA gets nekkid a lot. I don't think it'll ever be picked up for release outside of Japan...it's a little too impenetrable.

I was originally planning to drive it till Sept so I could put a larger down on a new car, but the transmission went nuts on an overpass and locked the car in 1st gear and the gearshift was all fucked. Goodyear told me I had to take it to a transmission specialist and im like fuck that, I put 2k into the car last year. FUKKKK.

Oh well, my new car is awesome so I guess...
