Can anyone come up with one reason why Apple store is not the worst retail/service establishment on this planet?

Its so bad I could almost ban apple just for having such a neo-cigarillo-useless-scam-noisy shit-box with fake aluminum wall panels.

The cons (i really do not have one pro);

- fegs work there that do not really know anything about desktops/notebooks - but they own ipods.
- they almost always NEVER have what you need
- they lie (oh yeah buying it here is the same price as the website)
- its too noisy to discuss anything certain
- Their shitty home-brew apple POS software doesn't give decent transaction detail.
- They do not uphold Apples AppleCare agreement to nearly the same extent as calling 800-myapple so dont bother thinking its convenient to go there to get something fixed under warranty)
- They are in the worst locations known to man.
- Its impossible to just walk in and buy something.

Can anyone defend these shit-boxes?

i've never heard anything good about an apple store ever

to my understanding the apple "geniuses" are ineffectual morons who are incapable of fixing actual issues

I only go in to check out new gear. I wouldn't shop there.

I was in there earlier picking up one of my machines and this mac genious says to some bumkon.: "you can install windows xp on a bootcamp partition but I don't recomme it because then you will get viruses. See windows apps need an OS to run on and mac apps don't they run on their own"

As much as I know that sounds distinguished mentally-challenged, I really did get a virus in the first twenty minutes after I installed XP  :lol

I just hadn't put on my anti-virus shit yet, and going to mininova before you do I guess is a bad idea.

Hell, I love my MBP, but the Apple stores are horrible. I rarely go into them, and if I do its just to fool around with their new products. Plus, the store I go to is insanely busy all the time, makes it even worse.

Yeah, my nearest one is in a gigantic outlet mall, so it's always full of people.  I like their little ball chairs they have though.  They have a little "game area" where there's like the Lego games installed on wicked large monitors and the chairs are badass.

Unlike other computer stores they aren't filled with fat neckbeards, just twinks and clueless chicks.

The Apple Genius bar has treated me awesomely. For the 3 years I owned my powerbook they never gave me any grief.

I had the following problems.

Some dead pixels (got me a whole new monitor)
Dead Hard drive (replaced for free)
Problems with the mouse keys (fixed for free)
Power cord broke (Replaced for free)

The only thing they wouldn't do for me was give me a new battery after 3 years of use.

They usually eyeball me and end up calibrating shit that's directly around me, which is funny because every time I move the devices directly behind me need calibrating.

Sony Style > Apple Store, in regards to the feeling I get from just browsing. Though, I don't think I'll ever buy a $400 Ebook reader.

I think they are one of the few electronics/retailers actually growing and making money right now.
