Is there any chance of a PS3 price drop this year?

I kinda want to buy one for Little Big Planet, Hot Shots Golf, and some PSN games, but I don't want to pay $400 for one.  Since MS is supposedly having a big price drop in September, I was wondering if Sony plans to counter.  (I don't keep up with sfag news so I really have no idea what goes on in Sonyland).

A price drop would be smart, but I doubt it will happen.

value increase pack is more likely , with the value being a bigger HDD for those delicious installs so you can have as many as 16 games playable at one time rather than just 8.

I sure hope so.  It might encourage MS to drop even further so I can buy a second 360.

I am hoping that they at least bundle the PS3 with the new official Sony headset that is coming with SOCOM at some point.

What I am guessing is PS3 (80 gig) with The Dark Knight blu-ray, the Sony headset, and LittleBigPlanet for $380 or something in the near future.

i think 360 can easily take back 2008 if sony doesn't do anything to maintain this lead so far.  price cuts or very aggressive bundling is pretty much a requirement, as there aren't any sure-fire big hit games this fall (like mgs4 or gears2).  they'll want to maintain profits, but they'll also want to try and maintain the sales lead (maybe even moreso).

 According to the definitive site* for console and software sales, VGchartz(with a z lol) showed that the price drop gave the 360 almost a 3 to 1 jump in sales over the PS3 for the week ending 7/26.
