And I'm sure there's a Tibet joke in there somewhere.
Being a huge mark for Summer/Winter games on my C64 (

Epyx

), I've borrowed a copy of this to try and fill my need. 1 hour later I am in excruciating pain and never want to touch this game again. I knew what I was getting into but I never expected this to be so brutal. Track & Field on XBLA was a harsh mistress but this is on some other level.
100m - tap a/b or waggle a stick. Standard stuff.
200m - tap a/b or waggle a stick. Well it's the same as doing 2x100m
800m - tap a/b or waggle a stick. Now you have a stamina bar too!
1500m - tap a/b or waggle a stick. Stamina bar again. THREE MINUTES OF FUCKING TAPPING/WAGGLING.
Hurdles - Introduces LT/RT to button mashing. Also puts you behind your athlete so you can't time your jump and gives you no feedback on how you do.
Cycling is the same. Tap a/b for SIXTEEN LAPS. Almost FOUR MINUTES. At least you can move around on the 800m/1500m events.
Weightlifting - button mashing, repeating movements and then balancing. Needlessly complicated.
Kayaking -

I cant describe how shit this is, you need to experience it for yourself.
Judo - combinations of A/B/X/Y. Except the manual doesn't tell you what they do and in fact claims the moves to be "secret" and you need to work the out for yourself. Hilariously awful.
The worst part is that it's still highly addictive, events like Pole Vault, Triple Jump and High Jump are great. Archery is awesome too.
Now I need to go ice my arm and take some painkillers, just like after a night with demi.
