Watching the opening ceremony now with Cheli. I'll post a schedule later.

This opening ceremony is absolutely beautiful. Must watch.

I'm not too big on the Olympics. Will probably watch some of those Olympic specific HD channels I got recently, just because I'm curious.

I like the Winter Olympics, but I'm not a big fan of the Summer games. I'll check the standings to see if America's kicking ass and/or on steroids, and whether or not our basketball team needs to be deported yet.

Skipping the whole thing, not for faux political reasons, just not interested anymore.  Some of my co-workers mentioned they weren't watching the Olympics due to China's human rights record.  Might as well just not buy anything ever if that's the case, 'cause everything is made there.

Fuck the Olympics in China.

Seriously, the point of the Olympics is human equality through competition from around the world.

So that means Iraq can't have a team and we are going to have it in a country that restricts their own people's culture.

Fuck the Olympics in China. Wake me up when they quit pissing on a united world vision.

Uh, Iraq has a team. The IOC is letting two athletes compete. The other ones didn't follow the rules and thus aren't allowed to compete.

I loved when they wire lifted the torch bearer up into the air and he air walked around the stadium.  I think China thought all the west knows of them was crouching tiger hidden dragon so felt obliged to add this.

It's amazing, I don't think anything benefits more than fireworks from HD.  I can't stand watching them in SD, but in HD I can't take my eyes away.

Gosh, I don't even remember.  We were really high up though.  Most of what I remember from that night was the chicks from Belgium who were staying at our house for the games, one of whom I ended up sleeping with that night.  Still the hottest chick I've ever nailed.

Dude. You guys had CHROME PICKUP TRUCKS in Atlanta.

CHROME FUCKING PICKUP TRUCKS.

Any opening ceremony that DOES NOT HAVE CHROME PICKUP TRUCKS shits all over it.

Here in Seattle, we get the Canadian CBC station from Vancouver. It was being aired live this morning in SD, but we're now watching NBC's HD coverage.

Yeah, the only things I really remember about it was Magic Johnson sitting in the row behind us and the chrome plated Chevy trucks.

That's how we do the Opening Ceremonies in the South.  8)

IF the criteria for olympics hosting is mere econ/military supremacy, then CHina deserves this hosting.

if the olympics is supposed to symbolize brotherhood, and peace through friendly competition, then china doesnt deserve this.

of course, any kindo f criticism is labeled 'anti china' and 'troublemaking', so whatever.
