currently only for linux.  he has the source code available if you want to attempt a compile. 

it takes video as input and uses the markings on the cube to identify the specific side of a specific cube (similar to how Eye of Judgment uses markings to identify the card).  then it projects a 3D environment on that face and super-imposes it into the video feed to spit back out at you. 

a great concept.  sony should pick this up and release it as PSN game to use with the PSeye.  in it's current state, it could go for like $3-$5 no problem.

yeah i like the idea more than the current execution--which is why i set a low potential pricepoint.  this would be a better game than the interactive screensaver PSeye things they have now for $2.99

are you just mad about not being able to beat my trackmania track or what?  i dunno if you were involved, but i swear, the PC gamers of GAF are the most scrubby bunch of pussies anywhere.  almost nobody was able to even beat my track.  on a smaller forum i posted it at, almost everyone who played it beat it--and a couple even beat my original time.  consequently, opinions over my track were also just as different on the two forums .

I think he's on solid ground with this one, Borys. It's not as if the 360 or PCs have anything to rival Playstation Eye technology yet. :rolleyes

well, it's true that sony's the only major publisher to release an augmented reality game.  microsoft's talked about it, but hasn't released anything with it. 

and it's already available for PC--having it on PSN doesn't mean it can't release elsewhere

Actually, technically, it's already available for PS3...assuming you install Linux. Oh god, i'm having to write bullet points for fanboys now
