I was following someones Bioshock Audio Diary guide and they asterisked the 1st two diaries as the only missable ones... then there was another missable 3 that they didnt fucking asterisk, now Im at the end of the game and Ive fucked my achievement

yeah you can miss two at the Welcome to Rapture level, which were pointed out in the guide. I missed one of the ones in Haephestus ;_;

I only use achieve360points.com for my achievements (and another site for Japanese games here).

This is one of the few games where the guide is actually worth it. I constantly referenced the maps for locations of the audio diaries and upgrade stations.

well Im going through again for the Brass Balls achievement

Bioshock is so fucking good

It's good, but the Brass Balls run-through dulled its sheen. Everything happens in exactly the same spot, in the same way, and saving frequently to speed progress destroyed the immersion so prevalent in my first run.
