Andrew Vestal is the guy behind RPGamer, Drinky mentioned his name last night on IRC so I looked into it because I had nothing better to do.

Doug Erickson is not really Doug Erickson.

His real name is Harvey Goddard and he currently works for software engineering company located in Silicon Valley. He created the pen name of Doug Erickson when writing for Gaming-Age, but he's also told me that he used ghost writers, such as famed Segadojo scribe Dan James (who also used a phony last name), in order to focus on his real career.

He created the Castellan alias for GAF, but dropped it prior to the forum hitting mainstream. When he took on the moniker of Drinky Crow, he shared the account with several posters, but finally handed it over completely to Andrew Vestal.

Drinky Crow that posts here is neither Vestal or Goddard (aka Doug Erickson), but another associate who at this time, would prefer to remain anonymous. I have spoken with Goddard and he has told me that he has given this individual full permission to continue his legacy.

Goddard, despite all my efforts, still posts on GAF under an account that will not be named and will not post here. Yet.

I have no idea - at some points, the account sharing is so complicated that I'm not sure who's who. Like, I know he shared the account with more than Vestal, but I don't know who all were involved. Some have speculated Mandark did some time under the guise of Drinky Crow.
